My notes, about a (likely) hastily edited video.  Since this is not my era, I'm not up on my E-whatevers....sorry.   While that *is* what was said in the video, it is probable that wires got crossed among the various feature sets...or maybe not.  I suggest you message Hans with your concerns...he does listen, and certainly would from someone with your credentials.

Overall, I have to compliment AZL as they seem to be able to produce a lot of product for Z scale, much of it not readily available (if at all) in N scale.  This is especially true of passenger cars- I've noted previously that I am jealous of, for instance, the number of heavyweight sleeper types available in Z.

That said, the Super Chief announcement leaves me scratching my head.  I can't ID specific cars in a hand held box in (on my screen, at least) a lo-rez video.  The list that Rivet Miscounter gives leaves me wondering exactly what they have produced-

-Budd Cars
-"Pleasure Dome" sample
-"Navajo" Observation Car sample
-Dining car sample
-Dorm/Lounge car sample
-10/6 sleeper, baggage car, RPO car
-All Pullman, no coach on the Super Chief

Are you sure you mean "Navajo" and not "Vista" obs?

OK, this is admittedly academic for me, as I have a major investment in N scale passenger cars and won't be switching scales anytime soon (and would go larger, rather than smaller, if I did switch).

But as someone who has spent a lot of time studying ATSF passenger equipment, this list is very confusing.  Are they just using existing Budd cars to do a foobie (or lettering a Zephyr for ATSF?), or are they doing an accurate Super Chief? From what I can see (in terms of the box he is holding) it looks like it could be a Z scale version of the (accurate) set that Kato produced in N.  But if it is Budd cars with (Budd)Navaho tacked on the end, it could be mostly accurate (or close to) ATSF cars, just not the ones used on the SC in 1953.
The only Budd cars on the SC in the summer of 1953 were head end cars, and perhaps an occasional use of a Budd 10-6 (this became more common as time went on as they pooled all the 10-6s). Otherwise, all the diners, domes, lounges, sleepers and the obs (which would have been a Vista series, not the one-off 1937 Navaho- which occasionally filled in on the Chief circa 1953) were PS or ACF.

More power to them either way- I would sure like to see the 6-3 and 8-1-2 in N scale.

I know very little about the Super Chief.   I would recommend that you guys actually watch the video before taking pot shots based on my notes.   The context there might help and it's possible I made a mistake or missed something, or as I said before maybe they misspoke or maybe even made a mistake in development.  It happens.

I did NOT post a list "with several errors".   I pulled that info straight from the video, and *perhaps* if you would stop being a jerk for 5 seconds and watch it, you'd know that.   So if there were errors, it was not because of me.   Stop being a lazy ******.   Watch the video.

EDIT:  Since it was proclaimed--interestingly enough by people who clearly did NOT watch the video--that I was posting incorrect information, I decided to go back and actually *transcribe* the video since that is really the only way to establish that what I posted WAS INDEED directly from the video and not some fabricated list of "errors". (why I would do that, is anyone's guess...)   I only provided quotes about actual technical details of the cars, which matches up with my notes.

Regarding the dome car...
"Here's a really nice dome car.  The Santa Fe called them the 'Pleasure Dome' ".
"Antennas are correct."
"The dome's all silver, so some of that will be painted."
"There's a full interior on the inside of [the dome]."

Regarding era and consist...
"We're trying to model the Summer of 1953 version of the Super Chief."
"The Santa Fe was pretty consistent for a long period of time on the Super Chief as to exactly what [cars] they ran."

Regarding the observation car...
"Can't remember which one this is, I think it may have been the Navajo."
"You can see the drumhead's actually been done with the potential for having lighting in it.  This will not come with lighting.  We have left that potential open for you, if you [are] a modeler who is a little more advanced and wants to try and put some lighting in it."

"Again [cars] completely prototypical with the train."
"All these were stainless steel cars made by Budd, and they were incredibly well built.  As a matter fact, most of them did go on to Amtrak service.  So these cars, they lasted a long, long, long time...unlike some of other cars that were not stainless steel."

Regarding the dining car...
"Again, this is all new tooling, it's all specific to the Super Chief and the Santa Fe."
"Underside on all of them is separate/is different.  Ends are correct.  Separately applied pieces for the vents coming out of the kitchen material.   They all basically ran on the same trucks so the trucks are the same."

Regarding the dormatory/lounge car and the rest...
"Another Great car."
"We have a 10-6 Sleeper coming with it".
"The Super Chief was an all-Pullman train, so no coach."
"We have the Baggage Car which was specific for the Super Chief."
"We also have the RPO car, which I think is one of the very few streamlined dedicated RPO cars that was out there."

There are some somewhat ambiguous areas where he appears to be talking about the set of cars as a whole versus the individual car he is currently presenting.  That is why I encouraged viewing the video for context.  But overwhelmingly I stand by my notes I posted. (reposted below)
