What era? Rasputen on here makes an '80s bus. Fine N Scale makes a '40s bus.

I recently got one from Brian (Rasputin).

It's pretty nice. No windows, but Brian suggested maybe clear acetate for the side windows. I haven't started working on it yet, but nicely done.

I'll be backdating it to mid 70s (not much of a stretch)

THIS is exactly what I am looking for...what paint would you recommend for it? Are there decals? Sometimes it is very sad that I live in germany...

Tru Color Reefer Yellow should be close.  Lettering was almost always black, so I am pinch you could make black decals on almost any laser printer.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Hi Tim,

It comes with "generic" decals.

Stateside, you can buy School Bus Yellow at a farm supply store: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/majic-tractor-truck-implement-spray-enamel-school-bus-yellow?cm_vc=-10005

But I got lazy and bought "Golden Sunset" at the local mega hardware supply: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Painter-s-Touch-2X-12-oz-Gloss-Golden-Sunset-General-Purpose-Spray-Paint-334054/307244779

I'll try to do a test spray on an old shell this weekend and post it.

Tim,

My guess is that you do not have the same brands available to you. Mark posted a link to Tractor Supply and their can of "school bus yellow". I recently completed an n scale gasoline tanker, painted with Ace Hardware's school bus yellow. I am pretty sure that neither Ace or Tractor Supply makes and packages their own paint. I would bet that one of the major paint manufacturers rebrand their product to both Ace & TCS. At any rate here is an example of the Ace spray product. The cab is painted with  same can, looks lighter because of the lighting ? ?

Be well,
