here's another from my scouting trip to the D-L

i believe this is symbol DL3 which is working the yard in the Greenridge section of Scranton.

So, after getting by with a CF7, three RS3m, and a SW900, the MD & DE railroad is about to take ownership of a new to us locomotive, a GP10. I personally was hoping for a GP15 or a GP30, but this will do for now. Here she is on NS train 36A today headed to Edgemoor Yard in Wilmington, DE. I officially don't know the full scoop, but they've acquired several GP38s, so this may have been excess. The C&D is doing fine otherwise.N.

Just looks odd, I thought they were supposed to take over Conrail's Shared assets OPs in NJ last year.

I caught New Orleans and Gulf Coast #500 a long way from home on Saturday, outside of Duncansville, PA.  EFT painted on the fuel tank



A quick photo search shows this loco was at one of the locomotive boneyards, National Railroad Equipment, back in September

Oddness, old Conrail/NYC diesels in the woods ...

You'd think they would have scrapped them

Wouldn't have lasted too long around here - a trash picker would've tied it to his bicycle and towed it to the scrapyard to get 1/2¢ a pound.

Discovered in the same box of old photos with the derelict rolls of undeveloped K64:



Cle Elum, WA, 1980, maybe a month before the Pacific Extension was abandoned.

The corresponding shot of the head-end under the rainbow with a clearer view of the station was stolen by my ex when she rifled through "our" photo collection as we were divvying-up assets.

The fact that those NYC motors aren’t in a museum is downright criminal. And that’s coming from a Pennsy guy!
