I don't know why they picked WP given they didn't buy any other SD's from EMD when there are far more plausible foobs to pick from...

IC apparently had a cancelled order of FP45's that presumably would have been delivered in the same paint as the rebuilt E10's

A six axle WP diesel isn't that plausible.   The BNSF one is much more so.  But the prototypical Kodachrome one is the hottest.

Actually, I agree - why not?  Santa Fe still had some at the time of the merger, so it's at least plausible.

And the WP do look nice.  I could see a couple of those, minus the steam generators, as pool power on the Inside Gateway in the 70s.  WP power wasn't uncommon in Pasco.

Looking at just the D&H PS-1, the announcement says "Era 1950s".  The car says "Built 3-1964", and it has a U-1 wheel inspection dot, which means it's 1978 or later.
