Substitute Paint Color Needed
« on: December 24, 2020, 10:03:58 AM »

I’ve run out of Scalecoat II Railroad Tie Brown in a spray can, which is what I use to paint my track.  I can’t find it anywhere online.  When I tried to place an order through MinuteMan about six months ago, I waited patiently for three months with no word from the vendor.  I had to cancel my order through PayPal to get my money back.  :(

Can anyone suggest another paint in a spray bomb that matches Railroad Tie Brown?

Thanks,
DFF

Dave, I don’t know about a perfect match, but I swear by Rustoleum “Camouflage”series spray bombs.
They are big, relatively cheap and dry dead flat. Maybe one of them is worth a try? If it doesn’t work for you, they can always be used for other things...

Thanks for the responses, guys.  I’ll look for that Rustoleum “camouflage” paint.  Unfortunately, I can’t rely on MinuteMan Scale Models to supply Scalecoat II paint, as indicated in my first post.
