Norfolk Southern selling some SD70ACU

Norfolk Southern has put up for sale 43 of it's SD70ACU upgrades from SD90MAC locomotives.  They have 110 in total, with 60 currently stored, presumably due to PSR.  The list is at Chris Toth's NSDash9 web site:  http://www.nsdash9.com/rosters/7229.html

And 0.0002 seconds after that became public knowledge the rumors of CP looking to acquire some or all began  :facepalm:

CP's have had a number of issues, the most notable being with the DB from what I've heard... or more like the sudden lack thereof.

I just saw 7230 as part of a three unit set of pushers on a westbound double stack train in Altoona.  In fact, all of the helper sets I have seen today on the mountain are SD70ACU’s.  I saw a few used as road power also.

They were supposedly testing these units to replace the SD40Es in helper service.  Guess that didn't go so hot ?
