Made some progress on the GP30, so close to being ready for service.

Work is just about done on Gettysburg Truck 1.  I wasn't happy with the Tru Color Emergency Yellow, so I went out looking for something better.  Found it in a bottle of Createx Fluorescent Yellow.  Stripped the decals I had already applied, retaped, reprimed and repainted.  Now I think I got something.  Best yet, it's probably going to Florida at some point and getting flashing lights installed

Its a stock part of the molding. The only addons at the moment are the Horn set and the cab signal box.

Very sad about the Swanton Pacific. Those were historically significant locomotives dating from 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition.

Purchased a new Trainworx tanker set, sold the Peterbilt and replaced it with a GHQ White 3000.

coupler pads installed and drilled for mounting screws, brake appliances installed





missing hinges and 'A' end grab irons installed





'B' end coupler platform and brake wheel installed





letterboards and side grab irons installed



Just the topside details and sill steps to install now, and then I can get them up on trucks and wheels for a test run.

- Burnt umber oil stippling on bolsters
- Grime pin wash to pick out the details
- Underframe is a grey/brown acrylic mix

I bought this used building in 2015 at The Whistle Stop in Oklahoma City on a bargain table. It was
on two layouts as TROUBLE BREWING Irish Craft Beer. With some modifications it will be on the
next layout as a new industry. Any hints on how to run guy wires on the stack? What kind of
material to use. Black thread didn't look great.
