Why is does my copy alway Take so long to get here?  I live in Western Washington and today is the 11th of August.  You said that the magazine shipped on July 31st. It’s been 12 days. This is not unusual. For about the last year or so. I know the printer is back East but this seems longer than necessary.

The post office is all screwed up right now.  I currently have several packages missing and I had one take a full two weeks to get from Colorado to Ohio.  In another instance I ordered something from Loveland, CO (about a two hour drive north of where I live in Colorado Springs) that not only took weeks to arrive, but also visited Portland, OR and Phoenix, AZ on the way.  I don't think it's either Pamela's fault nor something she can answer for.

As I mentioned the problem is not new. I believe that the printer changed sometime about 18 to 24 months ago. It maybe that Pamela got a printer who also does shipping for the East Coast. They maybe using a lower class of mail than they did previously. Before my perceived change shipping was faster.

I'm still waiting on mine.

But yep... Post office is being barred from funding agreed upon by the house and senate, and has been dismantling auto sorting machines across the country, especially in cities/mail hubs.

I'll let you guess why that is.

Magazines don't go through auto sort.

Yeah but when the back office employees need to sort letters because their machine is out of service.

Or they are delivering yesterday's mail because they are barred from overtime.

Or have their the routes reshuffled almost daily.

It will cause delays in everything.

I am sorry to hear it is taking a while for the magazines to arrive in certain areas of the west coast. The issues have always been shipped 2nd class from Quad Graphics in Michigan the last 14 years since I became publisher.  We have not made any changes in procedure or with the printers. The post office has had some delays over the years with second class mail and I have never received a good explanation after researching it. I hope your new issue arrives soon.

We have so many new articles to share with you in the coming months, I know you are going to like what you see. Thank you so much for your continued support. Enjoy the magazine.

Most all hobby shops are now open, whether they have curbside pickup, online ordering or you are able to shop inside their hobby store. Please support your local hobby shop. I have a few considering reducing their magazine quantity because they are not seeing the foot traffic. Let's keep the hobby going strong and N scale going even stronger.
If you do not have a local hobby shop where you can purchase N-Scale Magazine, you can order a subscription, both print and digital, online at www.nscalemagazine.com
Thank you so much.

I live within about 30 miles from Daniel, and my issue arrived last week (not sure of which day).
