I was thinking of some skunky a$$ weed in a smoke generator, actually.
Simply set the tire pile on fire.

In my car repair experience I have never seen vacuum houses that small. That would be usable in N scale for "normal' size tires.

Love it @wazzou, classic Seinfeld.  And @Ed Kapuscinski great low-drag jig!  I would have gone for my "chopper" first, but will keep this technique in mind for sure.

  Frank

Thanks. I thought about a chopper but...
1. I don't have one (although I keep looking for an excuse to pick one up).
2. I don't think it would've been great considering the need to quickly dump the part.

A table saw is not a meat slicer. It would make minced-vinyl instead of N scale tires.  :)

I beg to differ. It'll slice up yer meat real well.

Tire fires can be kinda tough to put out. This 1983 one took nine months to extinguish:    :o

Sure, it will cut meat, but I wouldn't want to do the cleanup afterwards.   :scared:  And if you can cleanly cut roughly 1/8" diameter vinyl wire insulation to the width of an N scale tire, you are much better man than I am.

At first I started with a single hole. If I had a bigger piece on my bench at the time I would've made this bigger.
You'll have a bag done in no time.

You're getting "wheelie" good at making those!

Sorry. I'm sure re-treading these puns are very tire-ing.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Haha. I spent some time considering "what wire should I get for this" before cruising around the house for a suitable victim.

These things disappear like trees and figures!

I swear my bag of them has not actually grown any fuller after making hundreds more.
