While I’m not a UP guy I understand that there is a variety of shades of UP Yellow among the various manufactures. Is this case with with CSX Blue? I’m wondering how the different manufacturer’s versions of the Dark Future and Boxcar schemes stack up against each other. Are they pretty close, different, or should I be more concerned about CSX Yellow?

I don't specialize in the boxcar scheme (I focus on the pre-2000 schemes).  But....

The thing to watch for in the dark blue colors is the level of brown that manufacturers put in the blue.

A little brown is good.
Too much and you can tell it shifts the hue too much.

I'm sure someone else can be more specific than my generalities.

I recently painted a couple C44-9W with TruColor.  They are really close to Atlas factory colors
