Interesting, UP containers on a BNSF rack. The green HUBs are UP.
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

Green Hub cans are common on BNSF well cars on NS trains...

Hub is a multi billion $$$ intermodal forwarder - I don't think UP has any special dibs on their cans...

The no-nos are EMP onBNSF/CSX and UMAX on BNSF/NS

Also, BNSF well cars are commonly found in UP trains, or any railroad's intermodal train, for that matter.

Ah, but they do - UP contributes to the HUB fleet, so they do get special treatment.

Green UPHUs are specifically for the UP on UP Lanes, so the BNSF wells with UPHUs kinda only work for UP (in the west) if you want to be specific about those things.

I don't have all my notes handy, but here's a quick summary last time we discussed it:

And not that they care, but Kato's release strategy with the wells and dictated containers still sucks for the concerning consumer.

Amen!   I like the cars - but quickly sell off the containers...

Thx for the UP/Hub info - what a fascinatingly entangled side of railroading!

Given Kato's recent sluggish re-release activity, we should just be happy they are committing product to our market.  :( :o

Hmmm, so Kato becomes the fourth manufacturer to do a green corrugated Hub Group can.  (Although I hasten to add that James always helpful contributions make me want to go back and look at the reporting marks for the others' offerings.)

I think what's most disappointing in this context is that they passed up an opportunity to do a green Hub Group version of their exterior post model.  I'm don't know if it would be correct down to the last detail but it'd be a good enough stand-in for me.
