Challenge #5 Township Crossing

Decided to participate in a challenge for the first time. This Photo module is designed to atleast in theory hook up to my current layout to act as a single track staging in the future.
Module is loosely a branch line in Central New Jersey.
First Planning, took measurements of where the "Branchline" siding of my layout ends and translated an extension onto a piece of paper. which is then transferred to the hardboard, and then transferred to the cut foam.

Tracks are loosely test fit on the scene, contour lines are marked.

Cut with a big old drywall knife. Not exactly optimal but I like the results.

And nicely sanded with a worn out finishing pad.

All in all seems like a fun way to practice scenery without worrying about "ruining" a layout. More to come.
