That’s great news! Thanks for the heads up.

I saw these beauties at Trainfest last weekend. The hood and sills are cast metal and weight is substantial for a switcher. The speaker is in the fuel tank.
I did not see them run or hear their sound though.

Glad to hear about the weight, I had some fears since the F units didn`t have proper weight.

Yea, but they compensated for it by making the B units dummies..
Seriously, I need two of these switchers, one is on order. Hope they look, sound and run well.
If they had them at Trainfest, I can’t believe nobody took photos...

I recall that earlier pre-production models had the wrong gussets that were based on the SW9/SW1200 rather than the NW2/SW7, hopefully they've fixed them...

I'm really interested in how the miniaturized their sound board.

I'm sure Mark (spookshow) will have review up shortly. I just wish he would posts more detail photos of the mechanisms and slightly larger size photos. The days of "modem safe" size photos is long gone.  And website storage space is also cheap. Still, his reviews are priceless.

Got my “item shipped” note and an email form Paul Postel from Hog Trains today. Never used them before so we’ll see.
Curious and hopeful about the model. Ahh, the anticipation...😬

Got mine yesterday and so far so good. Ran decently out of the box, although a bit stall-prone at the extreme low end of the throttle. That went away after a few minutes of roundy-rounding, so I assume "wheel crud" related. The decoder went haywire at the five hour mark and required a reset, but other than that things are looking good.

Is the body of the nw2 the same as the body of the sw7.   Are they prototypically correct?  Any one know what phase the models represent?

Wow, this thing pulls a ton. I hooked it up to a 27-car freight train that I happened to have sitting on the rails, figuring that I'd need to start pruning cars off in bunches in order to find its upper limit, but it walked away with the whole thing no problem.

Traction tires, or metal-on-metal?
