Yesterday evening, the westbound Amtrak Pennsylvanian passed through Horseshoe Curve as usual, then took the balloon track at Gallitzin and came back around the curve less than an hour later headed eastbound, supposedly returning to Harrisburg to tie up for the night.

Can't really tell from the video in that link but perhaps there were three trains involved?   First guess is that the manifest rear-ended a stack train with ISO containers, which resulted in side-swiping a different stack train (domestic containers) on the adjacent track.

Yeah, other more recent local news posts make it more clear, and yeah, 3 trains were involved in that fashion.
