Late addition to this week.Conrail MoW trucks! The two GMC Brigadier trucks are very close to what Conrail used for mini boom trucks. The company also had short nose 9500s and Topkicks (modeled here using a similar Chevy Kodiak cab), but many of the knuckle booms had a crew cab. My 9500 is mostly cobbled together from spare parts. I remember seeing a few air supply trucks like this. Most of the details are in place. I need to order more mirrors for the 9500 and add tools and amber beacons. But they are mostly complete. There are a few more on my workbench: both Brigadier welding trucks. And with that, the CR Boston Line MoW trucks will be complete. Big shout out to Showcase, which spent a lot of effort to make a modular truck system that just works. Pretty much any truck in their line can take any truck bed. There are so many bed, boom, cabinet and accessory parts, I feel spoiled. And just to think a few years ago there was virtually nothing available.
Diezmon, what do you use to attach the wood to the turnout and the switch to the wood? I like the idea of a self contained install but I'm wondering what kind of durability you have
