I've come to the conclusion that containers are very cheap to make, which is why there's been so many produced lately. That said, I continue to buy them. I like the ONE and MSC containers in this release.

Hatsu Marine, that's a good one.  Still need Italia and Loyd Triestino to complete the Evergreen group.

Very nice.  But I'm still hoping for an MSc can in a proper mustard yellow/brown.  All of the offerings to date are too bright/yellow for my taste.

I have not seen one of their containers in person.  Have they decorated the ends with gasket and lock arm printing like Scale Trains and Jacksonville Terminal?

I don't think anyone has seen a decorated version in person. They've been announcing containers this year for delivery next year.  There were undecorated  versions at one of the shows, maybe NTS, I recall someone posting pics.

With that said, the artwork seems to show a gasket at least.

Does anyone have any inside info on whether the Athearn containers have bottom connecting pins, and whether they are compatible with the JTC/Atlas/Walthers pins?

From talking to the JTC guys at NTS, they gave Athearn samples of theirs, and seems Athearn's will be compatible.  Believe the Athearn's also have magnets like the JTC ones

Far too modern for my era, but I'll probably order a set of the "ONE" pink ones.  The idea of a pink container in 1974 is irresistible...

Sure didn’t. Thanks for pointing it out.  I’m thinking of ordering the 3 sets of PPLX as I’ve the Atlas 90 ton 3 bays in PPLX for some strange reason. I’ve been trying to find out more info from the interweb as I’ve seen PPLX coalporters in exactly one youtube video on the Wheeling and Lake Erie around 2010 being switched around down at Rayland OH. I’m trying to jusify that expenditure to Mr. Wallet for a train I’d most likely only run at train shows 5-6 times a year.

WOW, great news if that's indeed true! I'm currently phasing out most of my old pin-less DeLuxe containers. I'm tired of dealing with that putty (container glue), which is so dang time-consuming.
