E8s with no DB. And since KATO seems to have gotten into the habit of releasing "kit" versions of single cars from sets, they might do that for the RPO car. Since they'll go so fast you'll have to stay on top of their announcements.

It didn't sell well - honest.    How long has it been since the last release?  How many times other passenger train sets (Southern Pacific or ATSF) have been re-released in that time?

Good point. The "red" E8 scheme came when? 1952? So the Broadway Limited was pulled by DGLE for at least 3 years eh?

I'm assuming Kato pulled a typo - they are listing the PRR units as E9s.

Glad they are rerunning the BL - I will probably pick up a set this time.

Well, that's cool!  I'd be interested in some of the cars for use in the Spirit of St. Louis.

This is a good idea, and I would also mention to folks that the duplex dormitory-diner might be another one to add to the beg list.  These sets ended up on other trains like the Spirit of St. Louis, Jeffersonian, and Cincinnati Limited, among others.

Visually they are the same locomotive, its the HP that matters. If they did the E8s in DGLE though I would definitely pick up a pair.

Now if only I could get my GG1 to work. I put the K1D4 decoder just as the TCS website says, and it shorts out the programming track.

Alex from Kato even mentioned it was a poor seller for Kato.  However he mentioned the timing of it may have had something to do with it, as it was 2008.

That should not be a difficult fix - start a thread in the DCC section and you shoudl get plenty of help.
