Question regarding Bachmann 2-8-0 N Scale Loksound install

Here's the original thread:

I recently acquired a Bachmann Spectrum 2-8-0, the first version with the decoder space in the boiler weight. The original thread mentions a DCC-ready tender that can be used to simplify the install. Is this the tender that is being talked about? It looks the same as the 2-8-0 tender (roadname aside).

Yes, that’s the tender I used with my 2-8-0.

Thanks John! That will make installing Loksound much easier. I received my Connie today and after some lubrication it's running sweet. It's annoying that the tender shell is cast onto the frame on the 2001 Spectrum tender, but things could have been worse than having to repaint the DCC-friendly tender. I plan to turn the original tender into a MOW car like this one: http://conrailphotos.thecrhs.org/Images/CR-45305
