Hello All

We are looking for ideas for our next N scale locomotive project.

We wanted to ask you, the modelers, what locomotive you would like to see Briggs Models produced in N Scale and which you would potentially purchase?
 
It can be from any era. The only real limitation is that we would need to be able to sell 40 to 50 kits to make it a worthwhile project.

We have had several suggestions already and they are listed below.

•   B30-7A (With/without dynamic breaks)
•   NW5
•   CP SW1200RS
•   GP10 and GP16
•   SW1001
•   U33C
•   U18B
•   U30B
 
Our kits include shells, etched hand rails, detail parts and if required, new fuel tanks and trucks. We have the ability to adapt our design to produce several phases of a particular locomotive.

First!!!  Oh, wrong forum.

Well, I'd still like to see an M636.  I'd buy 6 or 7 of them but based on the earlier attempt I don't think it will make the 40-50 kit cut.  Unless you add in the C636 people and variants but that is probably too much difference.  I already bought the trucks from Jeff just in case I end up doing it myself.

I'll  suggest a Baldwin  AS-616 for placement on an Atlas RSD-4/5 mechanism .  With the RS-3 the same she'll could be used for the AS-416. I'd  be in for at least 2 if not more and so reaching  the threshold  should be easily doable.

I’m still holding out hope for a C636.  So if you can consider that and the M636 as just variations to reach the production numbers, I’d be pretty happy with that.  I was planning on four or five from CESM, but I hesitated on buying the bodies until he finalized the HI-AD trucks.  So that didn’t pan out. I already have enough Atlas C628/630 for conversion.

I would add if you do a U33C/U36C, please consider Adirondack truck frames as well.

Also in the Alco line, Phase IIa or b C425’s.  I’d like several for Conrail.

GE EL-C (EF-4, E33)
GE C36-7

Steam gets pretty tricky but if there is a chassis out there that would accept a shell with the same wheel arrangement you are interested in why not mention it.

In order of preference, I'd like a SW1001, then the U18B and finally, the SW1200RS. I would definitely buy 2 or three of the SW1001s.
