I saw them at the NTS and they looked good. I know a few of you were waiting for them to show up.

I'm betting they have more than the few stock numbers they've listed. I've noticed that sometimes MBK will post an item for sell with only a few available then a few days later there is a crap load more.

I was excited for these until I read some posts on Trainorders (when HO cars came out) implying none of these lasted past 2000 or so.


I thought I've seen something similar to the Linde car, but black in recent months.

I'm pretty sure these come with body mounted couplers (everything else I have from BLI is body mount).

The linde car was around until 1998-2000 from what I recall reading...

Given they were out of commission by 2000, that would make sense given the 40 (?) year limit on rail car service life. However, specialty cars like this come and go as technology changes.

Now the only question is which paint/lettering is right for service 1970. F'rinstance, the Linde logo is like you indicated, a lot more recent. It looks like most of the others would be closer to my target.
