Weekend Update 6/30/19

Working on a T scale DT&I GP38AC.  That's a toothpick I use to hold it.  No handrails, horn, trucks, etc applied just yet.  Front coupler is installed though.  These GP's are supposed to have winterization hatches on the windows, and am considering how to do this (I have an idea or two).

In all fairness, I'm quite impressed with what your doing in T scale.. (that Santa Fe F7 was AMAZING!!!)

I know, I even used the airbrush on this one to get the DT&I orange (50-50 ATSF red and Reefer Yellow).  Oh well paint fills in the 3D print artifacts

As usual, your lilliputian modeling is amazing Jesse! Yes, unfortunately the paint thickness doesn't scale.  What type/brand of paint do you use?

I'm asking because in my experiences some paints go on thinner than others (unless of course you apply them overly heavily).  For example, the discontinued Accu-paint would dry to a very thin coating. I've heard that it was actually not a paint, but a type of ink.  Tru-Color paints are supposedly very similar to Accu-paint and they do also go on very thin.

Got to see the iconic Cumberland Valley System of Bill & Wayne Reid at the Chicago NSE convention

The layout looks great!  This photo is taken from a similar angle like the one on the cover of Kalmbach N-Scale Primer book from the '80s.  What I find especially cool is that the shingles on the station appear to be lifting.  Same thing happens to 1:1 shingles which are 30-40 years old.  I love it!  Station needs to be re-shingled.

Got the E7 a little closer to finished.  After sending back the loksound decoder, it came back blank, so a nice guy in the local area programmed it for me.
