If/when detail parts for MTL heavyweights?

I'm getting no answers from MTL, but I know some of the guys on TRW are pretty well-connected to them. sSo maybe one of you can find out if MTL plans to issue spare parts for this stuff, especially the baggage-express and RPO-Baggage cars. Those itsy thing snap quite easily and I need a bunch for kitbashed car mods. I know some a$$hat can find out for sure!

Same as last time you asked. Any thing can be ordered from a MTL dealer.

This.  Call them, even though I sent them an email from their website, I ended up calling and buying the Parlor Car box nests I needed (no part number) immediately on the phone.

I did have a little trouble getting some parts when I just used an e-mail contact supplied by Shipsure.  But, when I called on the telephone, that worked great.  So, if you are having trouble, I suggest the direct person-to-person approach on the telephone.

Who have you contacted?   So far we have not seen any requests from you, but I can help you out if you can be more specific about what itsy thing you are looking for   LOL  .  Any part that goes into any of our product can be purchased on it's own, so you can email a request to Sara@micro-trains.com or give us a call.

Considering the heavyweight parts aren't listed on the MTL Parts site, plus there is no statement at the top of the page saying "If you don't see it here, call us", pretty hard to order the parts through a dealer:
"Yeah, get me some of those stirrups for the MTL cars. Nope, no part number, but it's those ones in the center of the baggage cars -- or maybe they come in sets. How much are they? I guess you'll find out when you order them. No, no parts number. But get me those things, willya?"
Like I said, the connected people here know all the ins and outs with the mfgrs.

Well you could just buy whole cars and strip off the parts you need. This way you know exactly what you're getting.

I have an old MTL parts catalog. It shows exploded views of their cars with part numbers of each piece. I bet they have updated version of that.

Or there is always the phone, you remember the phone right?

LOL,
After reading the posts at 10:37 am and then the post at 8:39 pm, all I can say is....

Am I the only one who sees @Shipsure  10:37 am post?

Have I finally made it into the "connected people" group who get the secret messages from Micro-trains?

I gave up rivet counting when I couldn't see an N scale rivet anymore.

Al, Micro-Trains staff is *VERY HELPFUL* and will go out of their way to get you want you want, even though the parts you want are not listed with official part numbers.  All you have to do is call or email them with your request and description of what you need. The will tell you whether the parts are available and their prices.  If you call them, they can take your credit card info over the phone and ship the parts right away.

IT IS THAT EASY!!!  YOU DO NOT NEED TO BELONG TO ANY SECRET MTL IN-GROUP TO DO THIS. WHY CANT YOU COMPREHEND THIS?
But if you choose to keep on griping and complaining here instead of contacting MTL,  then NO PARTS FOR YOU!  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

We have tried (to tell him to call and talk to a human being or email MTL for more info on parts which are available, but not officially listed).  He is hopeless!

And they do list the RPO as part number 140-00-000 and the baggage as 147-00-000 so you don't have to say "that car".

The only problem I could see while looking up car numbers is I couldn't find a listing for single window coach
(I'm guessing it will be 150-00-000, but by then they could re-number all products again)

This post is the perfect example of why I stopped answering your New Haven questions — you simply don’t listen. Your last sentence is moronic given the responses you’ve gotten on this thread, which collectively said CALL MICRO-TRAINS DIRECTLY AND THEY WILL SELL TO YOU ANY PARTS YOU WISH.
