Have you seen the video of them testing the whistle last week. He had fire in his belly but was still groaning after a 60 years long slumber, after a few minutes of prodding he was fully awake and letting everyone around know it.

Now new Big Boy sound files can be recorded (using moder recording equipment) for all the sound decoders, and the sound will be 100% genuine and accurate. Sweeet!

Skip to 7:01 for the first attempt at the whistle.  Had a bit of a sore throat for awhile, but they got it there eventually.  Sleeping for some 60 years will do that...  :D
