P&LE ex-PC ex-PRR gondolas

I've the soft cover book, "Freight Car Equipment of the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Vol. 1 P&LE's Gondola Cars" by Jerry Gorzoch, Jack Polaritz, & Joe Sparico.
The P&LE purchased refurbished PC ex PRR G31A-D and G35 gondolas in 1970 and 1972 and put them 14000-14833 number series. There is one B&W photo in the book of one of these gons and it looks like a P&LE patched PC paint job. I've found no other photos in either of the 2 other books I have on the P&LE nor the internet of these gondolas in service on the P&LE. Which I find odd as there were over 800 of them on the P&LE. Does anyone know, have a photo, or ever seen one of these in P&LE paint? I am doubting they got a repaint as according to the gondola book, the number of these gondolas dropped drastically after 1982. But you never know.  Thanks.

I am not at home with my computer, but I thought there was a seller on EBay who had a photo of one of these cars for sale a while back.  I right clicked it and saved the image.  I thought that the cars sent to P&LE were full PC SR repaints and not patch jobs.  Also, I thought P&LE received G31K, G31L, G35A and maybe G31M rebuilt cars.  I also thought  some of these cars went to the Montour (MTR) in the early 80’s.  I recall seeing Montour cars being scrapped at Azcon Corporation in Sharpsburg, PA alongside the Conrail's Conemaugh Line in the mid 80’s after the Montour shut down.    I will take a look this weekend, and I will PM you if I find something.  Thanks.

Sounds good thanks. I never thought to check the bay for photos. As far as the gondola class, looking through the book again there is a table that identifies which classes made up the 14000 series a couple of pages prior to the discussing the PC gondolas rebuilt and sold the P&LE. A bit of a strange place for it to be but it's there at least.
It reads the PRR Class G31A to P&LE class G31k  74 cars
                                 G31B to P&LE class G31    92 cars
                                 G35   to P&LE class G35A  319 cars
                                 G31D to P&LE class G31N  54 cars
                                 G31A to P&LE class G31K 120 cars
                                 G31B to P&LE class G31L  149 cars
                                 G31C to P&LE class G31M  66 cars 

The book does have a page on the gondolas sent to the MTR. It says that 251 of this number series were leased to the MTR in the early 80's( MTR series 2200-2999) and stayed until the MTR shut down in 1982. There's a photo of a train of these heading to Mckees Rocks in the summer of '83 for scrapping on the page on the gons leased to the MTR.
