visiting rail museums ?

I will be heading down to Spencer, NC in May as i ride the cycle to my ships reunion, USS Inchon,  in Nashville, TN. Yes taking a little longer to get there but i want to see the museum in Spencer.  Then riding the Dragons Tail on my way to Nashville.
Going home i'm heading more north to the Patton Museum in KY then heading back east toward home.  My question : is there any railroad museums active or museums in between Fort Knox, KY to Newark, DE other then in Roanoke, been there or Case in WV, going there in fall.
Thanks in advance,
Keith

East of Lancaster, PA there is the RR Museum of PA, across the street the Strasburg RR and nearby the Nation Toy Train Museum with the adjacent Caboose Motel (real cabooses).  Plus the very large and animated Choo Choo Barn model layout (1700 sf) and hobby shop.

Since you've been to the trio in Roanoke, there is also Clifton Forge:

Huummm, that looks like it work out perfectly. I can also stop when i go past Huntington, WV to see the C&O 1308, two birds with one stone.   Was wondering where 614 ended up going.

Thanks for the idea Mark and the rest of you guys for the input.
