Why was this post moved to the Crew Lounge?

I am not blessed with Crew Lounge access, so I'm a little disappointed that this

Well, it doesn’t fit in Product Discussion...but I admit that we probably need a Discussion area that isn’t as off-topic as Crew Lounge.  The bar to get into Crew Lounge is low  ( :) ) so you’ll be there in no time.

Well, I think a case could be made for putting it in the general N Scale forum... no?

And while we're at it, why isn't this one in the Events sub-forum?

Don't get me started on moving threads to proper forums.  Lately there have been few prototype questions in the N/Z forum.  And they still are there.  People just don't  think when posting.   Well, it *COULD* be N scale .    Or, I want max exposure, and N/Z is the most frequented.

People just don't  think when posting.

Well, not to get all serious, but I think that's just a teeny bit harsh. I imagine most modelers have "I want to get this posted" forefront in their minds, and the question of "Where does this belong?" is either way down the list of priorities, or not even part of their awareness, since not everyone has a map of this place ingrained in their minds. It's really up to the mods to gently push things in the right direction, with the hopes that people might catch on (but gracefully accepting that some won't). As a former mod, I ought to know... it's kinda like herding cats...

Well then, I guess my mind works in a weird and mysterious way, because I do contemplate which forum section to choose for my new posts. Actually, in majority of cases it is not all that difficult to figure out where a new post belongs. I guess I'm just a different individual among the masses!  :D

Not too long ago I accidentally posted in a wrong section (pure carelessness and lack of thought on my part - inexcusable!)  and it took a while (and more than one notification) for the moderators to move it where it it was a better fit.

I moved it to the N scale forum so you can read it now.   peteski will be pleased.
