MTL: Humvies next. I spoke with Eric Smith at length about the SW1500. The tooling changeover to Atlas has breathed new life in the SW1500 project and expect to see many, many more in the future. I asked the possibility of a hood-mounted handrail version. He is very interested in growing the SW1500 series.

Any sign of the single-window heavyweight coach car?
Were the new releases for February on display?

I hope Atlas will replace their current ACF 5250 CF with a new version.  The old is nice enough, and I have a few in GN and BN, but one done to modern standards would be appreciated, especially if it could be had with trough hatches.

The prototypes seem to have been mainly plastic pellet cars, but the GN bought a batch for grain service, and they lasted well into the BN era, both in Glacier Green and as BN repaints.

The River Point Station F-350 crew cab pickups and utility trucks are due in part the to the poll the N Scale Vehicle Association took at the N Scale Enthusiast Convention last summer in Salt Lake City.  I want to extend my thanks to all who participated in that poll.  It gave Ron the encouragement he needed to make the decision to produce the models! 

Here are some additional photos of the test shots of the body molding, although the ones Lou posted are better.  I can add the trucks will have complete interiors, including the steering wheel.

exactly, although I would completely say transition. modern is pretty much it. might as well switch to HO at this point.

Thank you, but I cannot take credit for these trucks.  Ron approached Bob Johnson of the 1/87th Vehicle Club who approached me, and I merely gathered as much information as I could from fellow N scale modelers.

I should add that "sitting" on this information until it became public has been extremely challenging!

Trying this again:

One quick note. All ST HO models now have ESU series 5 decoders. It sounds as if must of the advancements are on the back end... Faster processes, more memory, more sound channels. I'm still trying to find out if they take series 4 sound files. There should be little to no difference in operation. N scale models will continue with series 4 decoders for now.

Scale trains - C44-9W in both Operator and Rivet Counter versions.

I know what you mean, Atlas has redone the tooling I noticed today, the older cars have high brake wheels, while the newer have a lowered one.

I got through hatches from IM as parts, just need to take one of the cars and see if I can do it. But if I do, we all know Atlas will announce it as I finish

All photos are of the N scale models. The couplers appear roughly the size of MTLs. I'm not sure if these are new or not.
