This appears to be their 48' Monon Sheet and Post container, the same as deLuxe / Deluxe / FVM, which is unfortunate (as it's probably the most readily produced intermodal container in N scale over the last 20 years).

Can you ask if Athearn have any plans to produce their 53' Monon Platewall container in N? It doesn't seem to be visible from your photos.

The 53' X-Post container at the top of this photo is hopefully the Stoughton I referred to on P2 - are you (or anyone?) able to grab a photo of the nose wall?

Lots of 20' and 40' goodness here for the 70s and 80s eras. It's hard to believe Athearn have jumped in with so much tooled at once. Hopefully they follow suit with their HO trailer line....

Thanks again Dan - those IMRC new boxcars look great too!

And not to rain on Athearn's parade, but I'm glad @JaxTerminal is about to ship their 53' Jindo cans. As they're a relatively new entrant to the market I'm glad they got in now.

To answer a few questions.

1. The Athearn poster announcing the containers started their ENTIRE LINE of HO containers will be reproduced in N. So whatever they did in HO will eventually see the light of day in N. They appear to have spots for magnets, but no IBC pegs like JAX Terminal. Correction they do indeed have IBC pegs. Not sure if they are compatible with JAX, Kato, Walthers, Atlas, or any of the other million standards out there.

2. On the IM Gunderson cars. They kept the floor and sides. The end and roof is new.

The insanity that was the ST announcement. There was about 100 people crowded around the booth. It was like something out of  CES.
