None.  The new plan is for an island.   See the color renderings on the previous page.  And no, the shelf extension will not be deployed, so no need for the wye.
I hope to be able to include a few "thru" yard tracks, and a couple more passenger terminal tracks to keep several extra trains staged.

Lee,

Can I make you reconsider the can lights?  They’ll really throw some weird shadows on the layout.  I think it was Ed K. that turned me on to the Barrina 4’ long LED fixtures.  They seem to throw a more diffused lighting.  Something to think about.

If the room was layout specific, I'd have some more flexibility.  But this will be a common rec room area, so I'm working within the bounds of what makes the most sense for the room.

I may add a plug in circuit I can use for some sort of track lighting, we'll see...

Did I see mention of a TTrak interface or did I imagine that?

Not out of the question, but with the table height at 46", it will be more than a notion to provide support for added modules...

But solving puzzles like that is what separates us from the beasts of the forest, no? :D

With each new kitchen cabinet, the mountain range for the new layout gets potentially bigger.

I better start making a few trees every night!

Tonight I boxed in the column to provide the chase for the layout power supply.

Also started building two more cabinets for the kitchen.  That foam is really starting to pile up.

Once the power is in, I'll start working on moving the layout into its new position in the room.

You have 20/3 and 15/3 Romex going into the box, that 15/3 is tied to a switch for lights?

20? 15?  Back in the day I last dabbled with Romex, it came in 12 and 14 AWG sizes.
