Also bugged them to do large flag/high stripe scheme.

I got an email from PWRS about these. I’m (insanely) interested in the CP versions with loksound.

Since PWRS is out of Canada, their prices seem higher simply because of that. Does anyone know where I can get my preorder in for these ASAP that has reasonable prices?

I’ve ordered kato loksound factory installed on some F3 ABA from Tony’s before in which it’s been put into a que for Kato from the factory. Which was pretty spot on the 4 week delivery window stated. I’m not seeing these anywhere exacpt PWRS. Any ideas in where to look for great service at the right USA price?

Here is the announcement and details. https://www.pwrs.ca/announcements/view.php?ID=14970

$310 is just too high for what it is.

Thanks,

E. J.

Give it a few days and these guys will have the reservations up.

I use a few other shops as well, but they don't do the pre-order thing.  Just have to watch their websites when the items are released.

Cheers,
Brian

Nothing yet other than PRWS.  Due date is Jan 7th for them.  *surely that based on Kato's schedule

I email Hogtrainz to see if was in the pipeline, lets see what he says.

Hog Trainz says it's a "special run" only for PWRS (for the Canadian Pacific ones I assume) and he can't help.

So....I suppose I order from PWRS....

Credit River Valley is a good store that does pre-orders.

Thats not correct.

176-8930 through 176-8935 are all available for preorder as -LS versions.

Basically, any Kato dealer (and a few distributors...Hobbytyme, Heartland and Walthers) can preorder them from KATO USA.

Enjoy!

Kelley.

Yeah ... this is why I'm not convinced HogTrainz is going to be a good dealer for N scale like BLW was. BLW listed N stock by type of item, freight car types, company, loco models, everything. Hogtrainz gives a few listings for N stuff and you have to search hard for it. Plus he carries only a fraction of the lines and equipment BLW did, I don't think it's going to get any better there for N scale stuff. I doubt I'll be buying anymore stuff there.
Again I am depressed by yet another place treating N scale as just some add-on business, and not a core asset. Anyway, good luck on trying to get your KATO CP locos from Hogtrainz. Hope the frustration is worth it.

I am waiting to see what he does when BLW shuts down for good.

When I spoke to Paul over the pone I made suggestion that he keeps BLW site active. He didn't totally discount that idea (but maybe he was humoring me).  Hogtrainz site is very poorly designed (and N scale on it is even harder to navigate).

Hogtrainz site in general has the same issues in the other scales as it does N.  I almost feel like his business model is exclusively preorder dice with little to no stock.   Haven’t dug around the entire site much but that is my impression.
