The only  new announcements on the pick ups are the railroad names.

I wondered about that.  Looking at my "orders" file I already have the 111-116 pickups reserved.

The only  new announcements on the pick ups are the railroad names.

It was never stated that stock numbers 60000111 through 60000116 were new announcements.

The title for this thread says "... New Run of F-100 Pickup Trucks" and the actual message states "... another run of 1973 Ford® F-100 pickup trucks:"

While the railroad lettered models are indeed new product announcements, as indicated in this March 09, 2018 Railwire post, the first six standard production vehicles were initially announced in March 2018 and were estimated to arrive in the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Likely due to to the recent China debacle, the Production Schedule status of the previously announced models has not been updated and I do not see a guaranteed pre-order due date for the new announcement.

Although the Atlas website indicates that all of the listed items are currently "pre-order" products, you'll note that the undecorated F-100s are presently sold out and apparently not available for pre-order.

Undecorated models were included in the original March 2018 pre-order announcement.

You never realize you need fireplugs for your city scenes until you see somebody start selling them. Next they'll make streetlights and i'll need to buy them too.

The pick ups are not at the factory that has caused industry issues.  The products announced this month are all located at one of the other factories that supply Atlas.  In order to get the product in quicker, we (Atlas) placed orders with the factories without going out for pre-orders, hence the reason they are not guaranteed and the letter accompanying the monthly announcements advises that allocations may be necessary.

I can't access the file from home, but the 111-116 pick ups maybe already be in transit.

Quite frankly, I don't give a flying toot about new Atlas products.  I just wish they would make some of the BMLA detail parts available again.

Makes one wonder why they bought BLMA in the first place .

The 111-116 series trucks are in production now, should be on the next container from that factory.

There was an order for some of the BLMA detail parts placed with the factory that is closing.  It does not appear that they will be filling this order, so that order and the related tooling will need to be sent to another factory.

But you DO have the tooling?  That's the important part.

I wonder if atlas knows there are already good N Scale 3-D printed pallets on the market and they come painted and weathered. I think they might even be cheaper?

Good to know, but we also know that duplicate models offered by different companies do occur in N scale (just look at all the F-units of GG1s out there).  :)

And, since pallets come in a wide variety of sizes and styles, having more than one manufacturer should be an advantage, as long as they're not copying each other.
