The MTL October releases are up, I'll probably get the GN autorack.

They certainly have been going all in on Railbox lately.

Not by chance - it is one of their current series of cars.  That is why you see RBOX cars released every month.

Looking at the BLW site, the series started in May 2018.

I admit to being tempted by the "Swift" stock car.  Swift did operate stock cars as well as reefers.  I rather imagine that the Despatch car is not very much like any Swift operated (the only photo I could find was a car with wooden ends), but a) I could be wrong and b) it would look nice sitting on a siding next to the couple green "AT&SF" cars I have never had the heart to repaint.

It actually started in January and they have done one every month.

Jan - New Years; Weightlifter
Feb - Mardi Gras
March - St. Patrick's Day
April - Easter
May - Cinco De Mayo
June - World Ocean Day
July - National Day of the Cowboy
August-  Hawaii Day
September - Ozone Day

Wonder if the pink car will be this months, or if they will have a graffiti version of another "holiday" for October mid-month.

My "LHS" hasn't emailed me that my sets have arrived yet. So I'm assuming not yet.

That makes sense - I tried to look for some official announcement but (in a quick search) didn't find anything.  I saw the info I posted (with the weightlifter graffiti) on BLW page in a May 2018 listing.

Oh no Tom, not the green "ATSF" cars!
Of course MTL did the NYC prototype stock cars in so many foob schemes, why not the Swift scheme, too...

I sent in my recent Railbox catch to MT the other day, a friend of mine caught the other side of the car at its delivery point a few days later.

In my own defense, I do have a baker's dozen of the IM cars...
I bought the green cars back in the day (I can only find one, so maybe there only was one.  I do have a MT Despatch also in mineral brown).  Truth be told, at the time (198?), since hobby shops had green ATSF cars in HO and O as well as another brand in N, I figured it was a real thing.

Plus, of course, I have learned that as soon as I write "there ain't no such thing", I will find out that the paint shop in Topeka ran out of mineral brown one day, and used some old coach green to paint a couple.

I think there were two green ATSFs, and the first two brown cars had the same car numbers.  They did the same thing with the first four NYC releases back in the day - two jade green cars (which didn't exist AFAIK) and two freight car red cars with the same car numbers.

Guess I'll have to order a GN.  I have no use for autoracks, but it IS an early BN car.
