Hi to all,

I'm an italian modelling enthusiast and i'm looking for LINESIDE-ROAD PPLES vehicles period 1948-1959 in N scale, it seems that Lineside in closed, does someone have unused kits, or already mounted vehicles to sell (cars, truks, bus, etc.) at a good price?

Apologies for my english

Welcome to the Railwire Vidro.

Lineside was purchased by Richard Plantz. See http://www.linesidemodels.com/

While not Road Apples, Rasputin (member of the Railwire) makes very nice resin vehicle kits which in my opinion are nicer than Road Apples.  See https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=40518.0

Also, for models available for some of the years you are looking for, check http://nscalevehicles.org/resources/models_era.php

Thank you for your welcome and for your prompt reply to Peteski.
I did not know the vehicles produced by Rasputen, and they seem very beautiful, I will do a little thought ....

In any case, I do not know how to make an order for the Road Apples, because the link on the LINESIDE MODELS website seems out of service

I am at your disposal, of coure also for all the other modelling friends for any purchases in Italy. :) :) :)

Not exactly the "road apples" I was thinking about.
We used to play hockey with them in the early 50's. :D

Welcome to the Railwire

Thank you for your offer Vidro!
I did not know that the Lineside Models/Richard Plantz website was out of service.  I started another thread about this:

Maybe someone knows how to contact Richard to place an order.

Timely conversation.  I just ordered some cars from Rasputen 10 minutes ago.  Hope he still has a couple of the American LaFrance fire trucks.  His models are among the best out there- and include a lot of autos no available anywhere else.

Another source is Sylvan- they several trucks plus early 50s Chevy's. http://www.sylvanscalemodels.com/N%20vehicles%20new%20page.htm

If you prefer the Road Apples (the couple I have are solid castings- Rasputen's models and the ones from Sylvan allow you to cast clear windows with Microscale crystal clear or a similar product), Fine N Scale has some vehicles that may work for you- http://finenscale.com/carsnscale.html
Tom D.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

Thanks for the link to Sylvan, Tom.  I hadn't looked at their site for quite a while.  The White Super Power tank truck looks quite similar to photographs of some British American Oil Company trucks, and the White or Chevrolet tractors look like possible replacements for GHQ's Peterbuilt 344s for hauling log trailers.  Not all gypo loggers of the 40s and 50s had Peterbuilts.

Cheers,
