Ooh!!! Couples lift bars! The BLMA ones have been out of stock for a while. Nice to have a substitute.

Got a shipping notice today from Tangent Trains on my N scale UP 4 bay hoppers - right on time!

Can't wait to get them later this week!

Just received these hoppers today, they are excellent models. I don't model UP but bought a couple anyway. I'll m Looking forward to hopefully more from Tangent would like to see the G43 gondolas and some tank cars, or even some early 60' Hy cube boxcars like the ones ER does in HO.

Yes, nice model:





As to my question when they were shown at KC - MTL True Scale Couplers will not be a quick swap. However, they will be easier than ScaleTrains.com's approach; Tangent's 1015-compatible box has the box down with the lid (and pivot spindle) against the frame, so you remove the box and leave the flat-plate lid. The TSC box can probably be fiddled to work with the result, but I'm not ready to start carving these up yet. :shock:

If you think there's something that could be designed and printed to make the TSC conversion easier, let me know.  I could pick up a car and take a look.

To be fair to Tangent they offer a pretty good discount for buying 6 or more cars at a time. Even better for 12 cars and pretty awesome for over 24.
