Stray cats! What a nuisance!

I don't know anything about Eastern Railroads, but locomotives bearing Chessie paint seem to be a popular target for abuse on the Railwire, so here ya go. In a very unlikely place, Monroe Wisconsin, inhabiting a grown over branch line in 1990 on the Wisconsin and Calument RR. Photo by Richard Kundert. Apparently it's name is Dan.

That is an incredibly helpful photo, actually... it nicely confirms that the walkways were indeed blue.

It might be a screen color saturation thing but they look gray to me. The conductors shirt looks blue though.

I'm with Ed - I see a dirty blue reflecting the sky. Compare it to the top of the loco behind the sand hatch and the flat surfaces around the fans. Ambiguous at best.

Oh yeah, they're blue. There's no gray on Chessie engines when they come out of the shop.

But then they get dirty!

This one clearly shows the Stray Cats are blue with no gray
