...at the NSE convention next week.  Let the speculation (and pre-complaining about their business model) begin. ;)

I was going to say something about their pricing also, but I just checked their site and they've lowered the price of the new (re-run?) ttx trinity box car from 35 bucks to 28. It's got a nice level of detail, but I have a hard time paying the price premium for brake piping that I don't see except when I pull it from the box. There are other manufactures that have more detail on the body of the car for roughly the same price.

Maybe they'll do the TBOX, seeing how well their FBOX is selling.
No problems with their business model here. Ordering online direct from the manufacturer or from an online hobby shop is the same to me.

That is really good news. After multiple 1:1 conversations over a few years with a couple of their muckety-mucks, I had completely written-off ExactRail as a player in N. The way it was expressed to me was their N sales experience was a drag on the company and they had "no plans" for anything new for us. Maybe they actually heard similar things from others, "no, nothing to do with the scale", it was their choices of prototypes and the duplications of other fine products.

I am hoping beyond hope for the GSC flats. They did an amazing job on the HO version.

That's good. I hope they are doing some new tooling but I really hope they do more shemes on the 4427. Nobody has even scratched the surface on all the possibilities yet.

CoilShield?????

I'd like to see the 5344 - since the FVM version is impossible to lower to look right with other boxcars......

Autoparts boxes???

Three years ago they said they had an N scale freight car under development that would be announced by Christmas. :P  A year or so ago, they said that previous car was supplanted by a different car.  Based on other things they said and how long it's been, I'd guess it's a modern non-box car.

Still waiting for someone to do the Freightcar America Triple Hopper.  W&LE, CSX, and NS use them, and maybe some others. I'm pretty sure it's a copy of the N&W H12 design except for the location of the brake wheel.

All I will say is that it had better actually be new tooling.

I would be happy if they re-ran their current tooling with new paint.

The stirrups on a stock FVM PS 5344 are high enough from the roadbed for an N scale figure to use them as chin-up bars.
