BLI T1 pics (Sample B)

BLI posted pictures today of the N Scale PRR T1 sample they just got from China.

Looks good to me. Don't let the F debacle cloud your judgement. I didn't pre order one, but if it runs likes my two M1's, I'll be a happy buyer. Hopefully the Hippo is next.

We won't know until we receive them, but it looks damn good.  The PRRT&HS Modeling Committee spent a lot of time working with them on the HO version.  I have high hopes for the N scale version.  I will have a small fleet.  I sold the Key brass model below.

Designing a T1 mechanism is not easy.  The long wheel base and big drivers make for a chassis that really has a hard time going around curves unless you do something special to it.

The Key Imports one is one of the best running I've ever seen.  I don't think I would have sold that off until I had a replacement in my hands (unless you just happened to have a surplus of T1's or needed the money for something
important).

Their HO T1 runs well.  I've seen it on an HO layout.   Let's hope they learned from that one and from the N Scale M1 (which they did a good job on), and they make an  N Scale T1 to be proud of.

That was also my thought when Doug mentioned that he sold it off. And looking at his signature photo, it looked pretty damn good too (and probably has slightly different appearance from the BLI version).

The outside track is around 14”.

Are we sure that the inside axles on the F3/F7 aren't blind so it can handle shape curves?     ~Ian

The trailing driver on the lead set and the lead driver on the trailing set definitely look like they are blind.
