A recent addition to the CRHS Conrail Photo Archive from my friend Bill Kalkman:

My train room.  :D

Challenge accepted.  :D  Just like that time that a Chessie System unit made an appearance on Lee's layout.

Mine either - it didn't exist in 1974.  PC, now, is present, although no locomotives.

Peteski:  Yes, it does look like model.  Complete a reverse loop on the left, make everything behind the far track a backdrop, and you have a nice end for a shelf layout.

They invaded an over burdened Rio Grande too, in decent GP40 numbers* and obscene paint jobs- even I can manage to construct, an example :-

[ Guests cannot view attachments ]

*EMD GP40 — 23 second hand units ex CR/PC (turbocharged) arrived as working mules in trains from the East with hand painted road numbers  from #3131, in various font combo's in Nov and Dec 1983 to augment their power pool, following on from the completed series of D&RGW GP40/ 40-2 number sequence. It took nearly 12 months to renumber and fully repaint all the units in between revenue runs.

This becomes my theoretical modelled upper era period. Two Atlas Conrail Geeps already partly sacrificed to the cause.  :-X

It'll do anything for love, but it won't do that.
