Sounds like a new banner heading "The Railwire - Home of @chicken45 's Sexy Caboose"

This
"I have a train full of basements"

Blame the USPS. It was like that when I opened the box.

Phew.  Glad is wasn't us on this one!  That's all I've got to say on the matter.  Moving on.

Nice job on the CR caboose.

Apparently, those heavy duty vandal screens are no match for the vandals at USPS!

Weirdly I read this as @chicken45 is a heavy streaker.  I'm ruined.

Paging @bbussey - looks like the Annual ESB Models Photo Contest just got a REALLY early start.

I told @Ed Kapuscinski that he's got to work on his focus.  :D

5. @bbussey is supposed to be there tomorrow! He's been part of the build process, so thanks to him for his help!

Yup, I was there today and got some pics!  In focus too!  :P  One will be posted later tonight as the ESM cover page for the week.  8)

I just noticed one of the vandal screens is jacked up. WTF ARE YOU DOING OVER THERE, BUTTERFINGERS?

Just rechecked my photos, and the left screen is crunched!  He didn't fix the ladder either yet.   The model still looks great in person though.  ;)

I wonder if Lance’s cabooses have crushed screens.

You know.  For variation.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Nicely built model Mr. Chicken, but I agree that, compared to that photo, the streaks are extremely heavy-handed!  Actually, that weathering looks like something I  would have ended up with if I attempted weathering.

Weathering is a very fickle thing and, IMHO, one of the hardest things in our hobby to master. I can't count how many times I've applied weathering and absolutely loved the results at the time, only to look at it again the next day and it thought it looked overdone and absolutely horrible. Then, loved it again a few days later....then tried to redo it after that. One thing I've concluded is that real weathering is very precise in its randomness. The eye can really pick up on something if it isn't done in what looks like a totally natural aging process, including rust streak heaviness, thickness, direction (gravity don't lie) and even color choice. There are a few modelers who seem to have mastered this and I am definitely not one of them! :| ;) Love the job done here, BTW!

They would never be missing a ladder though. That's too major a safety violation.

Edd needs help with unpackaging 101. No wonder he's switching to a less delicate scale where the sexy cabeese are bigger. :D

Are we sure it isn't an "unpackaging" problem?  :D
