Anyone know what color this baby was when freshly painted?  This was photographed earlier this month in Youngstown OH.

I don't know the color, but it is possible it's headed for scrap. The scrap dealer is just to the right.
What are the other 2 behind it?

All 3 show up in the current Google street view. All are ex P&LE.

The car on the left is another X65.  Not sure about the car on the right.  I didn't take the pic, someone posted it today on the Facebook freight car group.

What is the address of the scrap yard?

Found it.  Vallourec Star.  The 3D arial shot shows the three boxcars coupled together further down the track.  The distinct DSI roof pattern is clear.  All three are X65 class.

These are in the neighborhood of 50 years old correct? That might explain the possible scrapping..

Here they are on the Googler:
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.1255238,-80.6801031,3a,42y,236.58h,87.03t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sEsNI9Vz2jtYst2psfaDjoA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

If they are being moved around then they might not be in line for scraping.

(BTW behind the mill building and over the river is where a bunch of NYC steamers got scraped)

I think in some sort of way that Ohio Central line (or whatever railroad it is now) is part of the P&LE

Here is a car MTL did:

The three Vallouric cars are from the same number series as the two ESM prototypes.  Can't necessarily go by what MTL has chosen as the deco, but it is a fairly good indicator nonetheless that the unweathered paint was freight car red.

I'd run down there now to see if they are still there, but it's like a blizzard right now so any photos would be a white blur.

Blizzard here as well.  There's no rush, at all.  But if you have easy access to the cars, I could use close-up photos of all the capy data, dimensional data and COTS data of all three cars, plus the car numbers of the other two cars.  They definitely will be in a future X65 release.

Well blizzards only last 10 min here...

This is the other side of that car:

The car was about 60 feet from the guard shack of the steel mill. He told me not to take any photos of the mill. A buddy of mine did work inside the mill and said he had to turn in his phone at the gate. Plus there are signs everywhere not to take photos.

The sun was so that I didn't get the mill in the background any way.
This one was 6920. The other 2 were 6956 and 39595 (it also had a different door).

Much of the lettering is un-readable and you could see green paint under the red.

Looks like it, but there was green paint under the red:

It's pretty cool that @Chris333  lives right down the road from all of out projects

I'm not sure if this helps, but here is a fresher paint job, albeit on a different class of car...
