I am working with them now on 33" wheelsets with a .540" axle for mt trucks. I'm awaiting the actual for 1000 axles. Hopefully ill see something tonight.

Got these images earlier today, while the wheel face isn't as bad as the old IM sets, they are no FVM wheels

Now if we can get a groupbuy or bulk rate discounts with Matt, I'd be interested

Ya know Matt will be at the Springfield Ma. show in a little over a week. I know of at least a dozen of us will be there. I'm thinking just talk with him directly at the show.

In the interim, I seem to remember that Athearn and Exact Rail use the same axle length as MTL - if true the Athearn or Exact Rail wheelsets might fill the bill in some cases.

After reading through the earlier posts I had missed a very important post about his sons problems. I had not known of his problem before but I am more inclined to Help Matt through this tough time the way Mike has suggested here.

 

Whoa guys.  I know everyone wants to help out, especially if it gets wheels made... but think of it from the other side for a moment.

I'm not sure how asking Matt to line up a special group buy of cheap wheelsets helps *him*.  It creates more work for him specifically when his time is more precious.  And then to take away profits from his normal channels by asking for cheaper than normal?  Who are we trying to benefit here?

Any small business owner is going to need to focus on high profit, low work product at a time like this, right?  Don't create an expectation for Matt's time.  Let him use his time as needed.

The kind move would be to set up some sort of funding page, and give freely as a donation with no request behind it.  I can't imagine what the hospital bills are adding up to.  Money, with no strings attached, goes a long way. 

If you want to help but want product for helping, buy what's already out there and keep it moving through the channels.  He's already dedicating his time to that process.

Now I know this doesn't help some of "our" problems of product but what is more important here is the Help we give Matt in getting through this. We will eventually get the product we need from him and I'm sure of that. I know Matt and he is a man of his word just give him and his family time to get through this.
