Atlas has re-designed their web site.  And that’s all I have to say about that.

I found a couple of bad links in about four clicks. BLMA N scale detail parts link from the drop-downs go to the Z scale parts page. I sympathize, tho', complex websites are a pain to build.

Still not lookin' good for BLMA detail parts at this juncture. I know, I know, a revamped site doesn't mean everything else deserving attention is done yet.

Instead of having to go to multiples sites across brands and scales to find out about the latest Atlas products, you can find everything you need right in one spot. For up to the minute news, you can check out the Blog, which will contain all of the latest happenings in the Atlas world.
If you're looking for information on past runs we've produced, the Atlas Archive will eventually contain info on all the models we've produced from 2000-Present.

It is true that navigation on the old site(s) could be a pain.  If you clicked "parts" in one menu, it took you to available parts, "parts" in another menu took you to a list of drawings of older offerings, which they actually had precious few parts for.  So hopefully this will improve things.  But no doubt some teething pains while they correct glitches and we get used to where things are on the pages.

What's annoying to me is the "new and improved" version of the order/ship schedule:

Clicking on the links for any of the items listed now takes you to pages on the 'shop.atlasrr.com' e-commerce site.
These pages only seem to list the remaining item numbers that have not yet reached 'sold out' status.

For example, the link for the new NE-5 caboose on the new "Atlas A-Z Shipping Schedule" goes to this page http://shop.atlasrr.com/c-1444-n166.aspx which only has three item numbers listed.
Instead, I want the link to go to this page: http://www.atlasrr.com/NFreight/nne5caboose.htm which shows all of the various item numbers (as in roadnames and roadnumbers) being made in that particular production run.

The old pages still seem to be available. Hopefully they won't be taken down.

  Just ordered a bunch of parts on line from Atlas. I love being able to select what I need and then verify in stock and place my order.  In the past, I ordered by phone and no complaints.  Atlas makes some really nice stuff that runs smoothly.  Fixing an N scale diesel locomotive is actually fun, especially with the parts diagram and availability of Atlas parts.

If you're comfortable with the command line, wget is all you need. http://linuxreviews.org/quicktips/wget/   (not sure if that exists on Windows tho)
Alternatively there's a variety of free and not-so-free tools you can download that will do the job: https://superuser.com/questions/14403/how-can-i-download-an-entire-website

You might be surprised though, at just how much data a website contains. You'll probably need to invest some effort to filter just the parts you're interested in. In the end it might be easier just to save screenshots.

I think what they did is 301 (permanent) redirect to shop.atlasrr.com,  add content to it and declare that the home page. 

This is telling search engines that atlasrr.com no longer exists and the home is the shop subdomain.
