Having a heck of a time finding any Rapido 1954 Canadian National coach cars.
If anyone knows of anybody or any shop that has some please let me know.

From time to time, they do show up on eBay, but they are rare. I did buy one there a couple years ago. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, when they did the second run some years ago, they opted to do other schemes, instead of the 1954 CN- which I would have thought was their best seller from the first run (at least, every shop I did business with ran out before I could get any, although I did snag a couple in GTW paint).

The other option (if still available for that class of coach) would be Athabasca sides.  They made sides for several different classes of CN coaches, plus the GTW coach with correct doors (the prototype GTW cars have vestibules at both ends). 

Maybe @rapidotrains Jason or someone at the plant could comment on whether there would be a chance to see another run sometime (although I have a recollection about something with the tooling and the change in factories and....).  Or whether they might consider some other CN prototypes after the NH and Turbo models are finished.  I did get a baggage car from the recent run, but it seemed to take a while to get up enough orders to get them to run it at all.

I am building a fleet of Athabasca cars right now, including Mount, Cape, Green and I sleepers, parlors, diners, dinettes, lounges, and the early CNR double vestibule coaches, to complement the cars Rapido has already come out with. I also plan to flesh out the roster with a fleet of heavyweights and modernized heavyweights. Most of the Athabasca sides are still available, but the core kits are hard to come by.

True that the core kits are hard to come by, but the sprue with roof, floor and ends is still available from San Juan Car shops if you send them an email (or at least was, last year I ordered 10 from them).  There are issues, apparently, with the second sprue that had boxes and other detail parts.  However, some of that sort of things is available via shapeways designers (and you get parts that are more railroad specific) and generators and whatnot are available as castings.  So it can be done.  Also have several of the Athabasca sides bought in 2015 or 16, and as of that time, they were still selling complete kits, including the core kits, although no longer selling them separately.

Truth be told, I am surprised that San Juan hasn't contracted with a resin caster, as I would think that the parts from the detail sprue could be produced economically as a resin casting.

International, Maple Leaf/LaSalle, InterCity Ltd?  Your Athabasca order looks a lot like mine.  I need to get to work on those, but need to finish up decals on a bunch of locos and get the basement rehab underway first...

Yes, yes, and yes. As well as the Super Connie, Continental Ltd, Ocean Ltd, Scotian, Maritime Express... Basically, I want to have enough cars to be able to put together any CNR trans-continental consist (though not necessarily all at once). The same goes for my fleet of CPR cars, to be able to run any CP transcon trains. Of course if you put the two together you end up with all the pool trains!

By the way, did you know that the International, LaSalle, and InterCity ran as part of the pool agreement between Montreal and Toronto, leading to things like 6400 Northerns showing up at CPR's Windsor station, and CP cars showing up on CN trackage? Your GTW version of these same trains will look different from mine, but that is what fascinates me about the long distance trains. Only a few cars from the end termini actually make it all the way.

I checked Central today and no coaches in 1954 scheme, only baggage and sleeper.  Yes, I would check with PWRS.

I have only one in that scheme ( black /green/gold stripes ) and it's a sleeper . The name on the car is "Ethelbert" .
All original ( batteries installed ) less than 1 hour of operation .
