I picked Alaska RR, I have Family up in Wasilla and they have sent some pictures of the trains out there... So it'd be kinda cool... That and it's been years since Kato made a couple...

I would suggest it is more likely that they have already decided to do the Conrail scheme if they do the loco at all.  What the poll appears to be about is to determine which CSX and which BNSF would be more popular, or if they should do 2 schemes for one or both railroads, and to determine the level of support for Alaska RR.  I very much doubt that if they were to do the loco, they would limit it to 3 roads.

Keep in mind that Kato's polling is much more sophisticated that the average model poll- they each appear to be constructed to get one or two answers to specific questions.  In the couple years they have been doing them, we haven't yet seen the "results."  Will there ever be a TA powered Rocket or a PCC car?  Or a new steam loco (Dreyfuss Hudson or otherwise)? 

But I like their polling method- much more specific than the usual "what era is your layout set in? a) 19th Century, b)steam, c)transition, d)modern, e)today" which results in the manufacturer building a diesel that hit the rails in late 1959 and wondering why all those transition era modelers passed on it, because according to their chart, "transition" is up to 1960.

Thanks for the heads up.  I took this as a prompt to send in my annual suggestion that they re-release the SD70M/flat radiator model.  (They should also release a flared radiator model with the standard cab instead of the 'safety' cab.)

Weird poll, it's like voting someone off the island. People can participate without a dog in the fight. There should be an "I could care less about this modern crap" option, saying that in a more politically-correct manner, of course.

I have no horse in this race, but I also voted for Alaska. It would be nice if they could do the later flared radiator version, I remember seeing them heading west on CP when they were being delivered...

I voted for the CSX Dark Future and that was all that would even interest me....

I'm seriously curious at what the demand is for those things. As I can't believe that they wouldn't sell well or anything. I know I've sent it in more than a couple times, but its only a suggestion box and never hear anything back.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but seriously. How many paint schemes could you throw on it.
