Looking for info (photos/drawings) about the B&O Grasshopper engine

@Rossford Yard  recently mentioned (in another thread) that he saw that engine while visiting the B&O museum.  The brought my focus back to one of my long-term projects: modeling the American Freed om Train.  I own the Kato AFT engine and I initially subscribed to  Lowell Smith's Signature Series AFT, but after receiving few of the cars I quickly realized that those models were not up to my standards. My modeling standards are rather high, and those models were IMO just poor stand-ins for the real thing, and the price for what I was getting was quite high. So I decided to build my own, more accurate model of the AFT.

To make a long story short, I will have to model the Grasshopper engine, so I need some reference info. Unfortunately there is very little info about this engine on the Internet. I found few low-res photos, but that is about it.  All I have is some 3/4 views from the front. I'm hoping someone can point me to some more photos or maybe even drawings of the engine. Right now I  don't even have any dimensions or size references.

Thanks Jason - that is a good start.  Maybe I should try to contact the B&O Museum to see if they have some additional documentation?

Weren't there drawings in MR a long time back? I thought they were part of the issues cover graphics.

There was a Model Railroader which featured an article(s) on the early B&O and included a number of drawings. I'm working from memory but I believe it came out in July 1976 and tied in to our country's bicentennial. If I remember right there were several drawings of the early engines including, grasshoppers and the Norris (2-2-0), freight cars and early coach stock.

Thanks for the info guys, and for the recon offer Ed.  Lets see what your book has.
If I don't get any useful info from the museum of the historical society I might need a recon trip.

The model will be displayed inside one of the AFT Showcase cars, so I really don't need to super-detail it. But I want it to at least look like the real thing.
