How long is the No 6 turnout.  I need to remove a 9 3/4 " straight track and put in the No 6.  What track do I need to make it the same length of the 9 3/4"

Thanks, Bill

According to my ruler 7 1/4" or, more accurately, 185 mm along the straight from the edge of the roadbeds. Hope that helps.

Kato has dimensions here:

https://www.katousa.com/N/Unitrack/g-single.html

The chart says 186 mm or 7 5/16"

Just to be more specific; a Kato # 6 turnout is 186 mm which is the same as the 7 5/16 inch (20-010) straight track.  Since your 9 3/4 inch (20-000) straight track is 248mm, you just simply add a 2 7/16 inch, 62mm (20-040) section of straight track to get the same length as the piece you are replacing.  If I have confused you, go to the Kato website(katousa.com) click on the n scale section and download the n track list.
