Prairie Shadows FPA-4'S on their way.

I just received word that my FPA-4's from Prairie Shadows with DCC Sound are on my way to me, an A-B set of C N 1954 paint scheme and one of Via Rail Blue and yellow. I can't wait. More than 25 years ago I painstakingly super detailed a set of HO Model Power units into VIA FPA & B units.  Over sprayed the yellow on the nose, tried to recover, stripping ruined my detail work, project failed. 
Long hiatus and switch to N scale and I can hardly believe I have prophetically accurate N scale unit RTR with sound in the mail!

Are they "prophetically accurate" because you haven't seen them yet?

I was at Rapido the day a few factory samples arrived. They'll be nice. Nice and heavy as I recall.

Anyone get theirs yet? Was anyone able to reserve/order from another source, besides Prairie Shadows? Wondering if they were discounted.

Got my fleet on Friday (5 CN stripes, 4 VIA). They are pretty sweet and run great on the six feet of track I have set up. One already made a round trip to the floor and a truck popped off... no damage, but I can tell you they have a sprung truck (no photo).

OK, so my VIA unit arrived yesterday, but I could not get them because the mail delivery person quickly put the delivery notice in my community mailbox across the street and drove away before I realized what happened while standing in my driveway distracted by two, let's call them pitch-men, who wandered by to promote their wisdom.
Quick trip to the post office this morning and voila.
First impression is that these are stunning. 
The most beautifully rendered horn, bell and sinclair antenna I have ever seen!  Love the twin beam headlight.

Is there a direct phone # for Prairie Shadows? PayPal receipt email came back with my previous address, even though I entered current one. Went to my PP account, it has a 5 year old address, that it would not let me change.   I replied to PS emails with address change, and asked them to confirm, but no response. I hope my undec unit doesn't go to L.I., instead of CT.

If PP tells you this is a one time glitch, it is not.  Something similar happened to me a month ago.  In my case, I even checked the address in my account online before sending the money, to be sure it was correct.  But they kept or re-loadedan old address in their address label system (which is apparently separate from the account info, and not accessible to the account holder, according to what the customer service person told me). I could not see or update this, only found out it existed when I called them to report the problem and the customer service person supposedly fixed it.  The seller was a real gentleman.  I had moved 15 months earlier, updated my account, made lots of eBay and several private transactions without a hitch, and then this one out of nowhere.

Hope you get it all worked out. I did get my money back, but I am pretty sure it was the seller who refunded, not PP, when it was clearly PP's fault.
