Intermountain Woodchip Gons - Need More Reservations

I've always used their service "hold for shipping" so I accumulate a decent pile of reservations and they are shipped together. I'm not in a rush to get things and would rather not pay shipping on individual items when they arrive one by one. If I need something faster, I'll use MBK because of their realtime inventory and decent shipping speed. I just read about MBK's reservation ability in the last few days but haven't contacted customer service to try it out.

Four orders off of Wig-Wag, four headaches of emails months later looking for my order. The only time I got what I wanted was when I lived in Santa Fe and drove to ABQ to pick it out myself. Even then it was spotty when the store was open.

Sirenwerks and Jeff:  Republic Locomotive Works has a kit for that plywood-side chip car.  It was designed for MT 70-ton trucks, because that was all that was available, but Atlas 100-ton will fit, although you may have to do a little carving on the metal floor for wheel clearance.  It is designed for GHQ brass ladders. 

Disclaimer:  I did the original masters, MANY years ago, because I needed a few.  I haven't bought any since then, so I don't know how much they are, or how he's packaging them now.  Back then it was just the body kit, and the purchaser was responsible for other stuff.

I was hounding IntermountIn to do these SP cars years ago, but have since scrounged enough of that bodystyle.
The RLW kit was a nice addition to the fleet, but only a 70 ton "King". I built one of Traincats composite woodside 100 ton "Aces", another nice addition... but one of each hardly balances my woodchip fleet out to match the late 70's.

I need to find drawings of the 70 and 100 ton cars and see if I can Shapeways up the main components of the car (frame, bracing and undercarriage).

Whatever 3D printing striations might occur may actually be of benefit with a wood sided car.

If they did this in N scale I'd order 30ish.

HO-Kit-Basher has a slew of woodchip gons in HO, including the G100 and bracing for GN and NP cars, so you might consider approaching him if you don't have someone lined up already. The bracing-only cars are nice because the modeler can make the sheet sides themselves to vary grain pattern, in this case, and it cuts cost down nicely for those of us on a budget.  Whoever, please ask them to do the G-70-19 AND the G-100-11.
