Okay now that is cool, essentially a locally controlled interlocking without all of the infrastructure. very old school way of doing things...
I cant imagine having to talk to all the different dispatchers to keep track of train schedules for all the different railroads. Must have been a stressful job.

@Roger Holmes and other Photobucket/Google photo refugees:

Might I suggest flickr.com ?  They seem to be fairly generous with their space and have not as yet caused issues with referring, in fact have a bb code button on each photo.

I was with Google but their address issues caused my defection; it was pure luck that sent me to flickr rather than photobucket...

If anyone has a problem with the flickr site I'd be happy to try and assist...I keep things as simple as I can...

Interesting note all my photos in that thread (hosted on flickr obviously) are still good and every other photo in the thread (hosted elsewhere) are dead links... 

Being a Yahoo site, their business model is advertising based so I don't see Flickr going Photobucket any time soon...

I really like these ideas Ed. I had an AT&SF track inspection car from the N Scale Enthusiast that would get on the rails occasionally to get in the train crews way.
I also had several situation cards that I made up that I would randomly give to a train crew. Hot box detected, Loco failure, track gang etc. Really added a bit extra to my ops sessions.

Great work this week everyone.  I finished all the roofs this weekend and added cat walks to the exterior.  Still need to paint and build the stand alone coal loader.  Here are a few pictures of my progress this week.

First, amazing work, David Gray!

I made more progress on Wacker Drive this weekend.  Wacker follows the Chicago River for several miles starting as a north/south street in the Union Station area and ending as an east/west street at Lake Shore Drive (LSD) near the lakefront.  Below is a representative section.



Added a number of .020 by .250 strips spaced .060 apart and added the upper railing.

As far as uploading photos to TRW gallery I would suggest resizing them to be 800 or 1024 pixels wide.  That will reduce the amount of storage space that large size photos take up on TRW.

If you don't have a way to resize your photos handy on your computer (or smart phone) then you can find several online resizers (just Google for "online photo resizer").  Or maybe just configure your camera to take lower resolution photos.
