Very nice! Can we maybe pin this thread somewhere, or make it the Best Of (to make it easier to find in the future)?

My first N scale car was the CB&Q 40 ft gon from Minitrix/Aurora.  Looked out of place with the 000 equipment I had, and getting the Rapido couplers to mate with the 000 hook/loop couplers was a pain.  That car was long ago converted to a GS-style chip car, and repainted, but it was probably what kept me in N scale.  000 was basically dead by the late 60s.

I bought a secondhand Postage Stamp cannonball set from a friend in March 1972 - minus the box - for $20.  All items match the B&O set descriptions including the cars and second dummy F-unit.  That Trix F-unit is still around today, repowered with a Mashima motor and repainted, stored in retirement.

The Trix stuff ran great.   Went out and bought some Atlas and was introduced to Yugo Hell with the GP40 from Mehano.   If it hadn't been for that Trix unit, I would have assumed it was all trash and just given up.

It appears DKS is also helping with Rick Spano's Sceniced and Undecided Web site.

I've been enjoying reading through Davids information on Postage Stamp trains.

Wow!  What an awesome resource!  I have never seen such a complete compilation (with photos of most sets).  I wonder where DKS was able to find all the photos (or did he own all those sets)?  Either way, this took some serious time and effort to compile.

Just spent an enjoyable 30 minutes on the Postage Stamp page.Learned a few things about the products that I did not know or had forgotten. What I found interesting (among other things) is the fact that some of the rolling stock is still be made today.Now I think I will go check out the new site. :D

good to have him back in our vortex...

Joe
Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor!

Was he able to finish it? That would be awesome!

@tom mann
Could we make this thread a sticky, best-of or make it some way easy to find?  Or maybe move it to Model RR Links section?
